Region 8 Junior Olympic Information

The USATF Region 8 Junior Olympic Championships

The top six qualifiers in each event from the June 21-22 USATF Minnesota Association Junior Olympic Championships may register to compete in the USATF Region 8 Junior Olympic Championships held this year at Carroll College in Waukesha, WI, July 10-13.  In addition to Minnesota, the region includes North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Typically, 1000-1200 athletes compete at the Region 8 meet.  Since the National meet is being held in Omaha, Nebraska this year, the Nebraska athletes will not advance through the Region 8 meet.  While Minnesota athletes generally compete well within the region, this year it is likely that there will be even greater opportunity for athletes from Minnesota to advance from the region to the national meet with the absence of most Nebraska athletes.  The Region Passport provides important meet information, the schedule provides essential time and date information, and the hotel listing provides much of the necessary lodging contact information.
